WHO ARE WE?

Le Moulin des Apprentis of Piot was the work of Charles Chareille.
In 1952, the local war veteran of FFI(French Forces of the Interior) understood that the Peace in Europe would pass by a better knowledge of the peoples. He has gifts created in the Mill of Piot a Center of international meetings.
Here, young people come from the whole world met themselves; they exchanged their cultures and their visions of the life.
So every year more than 2000 young people came to the Mill.
The departure of “The Uncle" saw the end of these activities.
Then diverse organizations took the continuation to maintain the object and the memory of the Mill of which the last one: the Association of the Friends of the Mill of Piot.
The Site of the Mill of Piot was recently acquired by the Municipality of Chéniers within the framework of the protection of the heritage and the memory of the Mill, both dear to the habitants.
